LAFAYETTE HILL, Pa. – Noah Stover converted a penalty kick in the 60^th minute for the lone goal of the contest to give the Thomas Jefferson University men's soccer team (7-4-4, 6-0-4 CACC) a 1-0 victory at Chestnut Hill (2-10-4, 1-6-3 CACC) on Tuesday night.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
Both teams struggled to find opportunities for most of the first half, recording just two shots each over the first 35 minutes. The Rams then had a flurry of chances, getting off four shots within a two-minute span but could not get the ball past the Griffins' goalkeeper.
 
Jefferson registered the first two shots of the second half with one off the mark and the other saved by the goalie. The Rams then drew a penalty kick in the 60^th minute and Stover did not miss, putting his squad ahead by one. Chestnut Hill pressed for the equalizer over the last 30 minutes, attempting five shots. Only two found their way on goal and Matteo Crescente came up with the stops to preserve the shutout win.
