Men's Soccer Has CACC Unbeaten Streak End At Post

WATERBURY, Conn. – The Thomas Jefferson University men's soccer team (7-5-4, 6-1-4 CACC) suffered its first conference loss of the year with a 2-0 setback at Post (11-3-2, 8-1-2 CACC) in the Rams' penultimate regular season contest on Saturday.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Eagles jumped on the Rams early, scoring just 45 seconds into the contest. Post had an 8-4 advantage in shots for the half. Jefferson placed two of its shots on goal but they were stopped by the goalkeeper. The Rams continued to struggle against the Eagles' backline in the second half, recording just two shots during the period. Post added an insurance goal in the 68th minute.

- The defeat put an end to the Rams' nine-game unbeaten streak. Jefferson's last loss was September 14th at Mercy.
- Saturday's result snapped a string of 12 straight conference games without a loss for Jefferson.
 
CACC PLAYOFF PICTURE
With one game remaining in the regular season, the Rams are still in the hunt to host a CACC quarterfinal game at Ravenhill Field on November 1st. Jefferson sits in a tie for third and will finish third, fourth, or fifth depending on the outcomes of the final conference games. The top four squads will be home for the quarterfinal round. The Rams can clinch a top four spot with a victory in their last contest.
