BLOOMFIELD, N.J. - The Thomas Jefferson University men's basketball team (13-4, 9-1 CACC) held on for a 92-89 victory at Bloomfield, ending the Bears' four-game win streak and upping its own to three games.

GAMEPLAY
Bloomfield got off to a strong start, scoring nine of the game's first 11 points. The Bears held a 14-9 advantage before the Rams went on a 10-2 run to jump ahead by three (19-16). Bloomfield hit a three at the 8:48 mark to even the score at 26. It was the first of five ties over the next several minutes with the last being at 38-all with 4:41 to go. Jefferson made a layup but the Bears countered with a three-pointer to take a one-point edge (41-40). The Rams came back with six straight points to take a 46-41 advantage with 2:42 remaining.
Erik Timko netted five of the six points. Jefferson maintained the upper hand into halftime, 50-47.

The Rams built their cushion to seven (58-51) early in the second half. Bloomfield rallied for eight in a row to take a 59-58 lead. The Bears were still ahead by one (61-60) when Jefferson had an 8-2 surge to go in front by five (68-63) with 11:42 left. The Rams did not give up the lead for the rest of the contest. Jefferson led by as many as eight (80-72). The Bears were within two (91-89) with 31 seconds to go.
Connor Murphy split a pair of shots at the line and Bloomfield missed a potential tying three-pointer on its last possession.
