Men's Basketball Records Wire-To-Wire Win At Nyack

JERSEY CITY, N.J. - The Thomas Jefferson University men's basketball team (9-3, 5-0 CACC) picked up a road CACC win on Sunday night, never trailing in a 76-61 victory at Nyack.
 
GAMEPLAY
The Rams recorded the first four points of the contest. The Warriors got within one (5-4) before Jefferson created some distance with six straight points. However, Nyack responded with a layup and three-pointer to close the gap to two (11-9). The Rams went on an 11-2 run to go ahead 22-11 with 12:05 left in the half. Four different players scored in the rally. Jefferson kept the Warriors at bay and led 38-29 with 3:08 on the clock. The Rams finished the stanza with nine points to double their lead (47-29) heading into halftime.
 
In the second, Jefferson looked to be in control with a 17-point advantage (49-32). However, Nyack got back into the game with a 12-0 surge that cut the deficit to five (49-44) with 14:43 remaining. The Rams recovered and posted 10 in a row to raise the margin to 15 (59-44). Erik Timko led the charge with a pair of three-pointers. That was all Jefferson needed to put the game away as the Warriors never got within single digits again.
