PHILADELPHIA - The Thomas Jefferson University women's lacrosse team ended the regular season with a 20-6 victory over Post at Ravenhill Field on Saturday afternoon. The Rams have a 10-2 record and finish with a 7-1 CACC mark.

Jefferson is the second seed in the CACC Tournament and will receive a first-round bye. The Rams will host a semifinal game on Friday, May 7 at 2 p.m. against either Wilmington (Del.) or Holy Family.

GAMEPLAY
Jefferson jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first four minutes with two of the goals coming from
Erin Eckert. The Eagles got on the board at the 25:11 mark to make it 3-1. Three more tallies by the Rams upped the margin to five (6-1) with 17:56 left in the half. Post hit the back of the net to get within four before Jefferson strung together three goals to end the period with a 9-2 advantage.

The Eagles opened the scoring in the second and the score was 9-3. The Rams responded with four straight, including a pair by
Erin Avanzato, for a 10-goal lead (13-3) with 18:21 on the clock. The teams traded three goals apiece and the score was 16-6 with 8:42 to go. Jefferson had the last four markers of the contest, two by
Erin Campbell, over the final eight minutes.
