HOCKESSIN, Del. - The Thomas Jefferson University baseball team dropped a pair of games at conference foe Goldey-Beacom on Sunday. The Rams are 16-9 overall and 13-6 in the CACC.

GAME ONE - L, 5-4
The game was scoreless until the fourth when Jefferson scored three runs.
Richard Joa started the frame with a walk and later scored on a wild pitch,
Efrain Santiago recorded an RBI double, and
Arturo Figueroa drove in a run with a single.

The Lightning got on the board in the fifth with a sacrifice fly to make it 3-1. GBC evened the score in the sixth thanks to a solo homer and an RBI single. In the bottom of the eighth, the Lightning took their first lead of the contest with a solo home run.

Needing a run in the ninth,
Joe Cencetti hit a one-run single for the Rams.
CJ Goodz pinch ran and advanced to third after a pair of wild pitches. After a walk by
Zack Austin,
Arturo Figueroa hit a ball to the back of the infield that allowed Goodz to score the tying run. However, Goldey-Beacom walked if off in the bottom of the frame with a one-out, solo home run.

In the seven-inning affair, the Lightning jumped on the Rams early with a six-run first including a pair of long balls, one of which was a grand slam. They added one in the second and seven in the third to make it 14-0.

Jefferson put two on the board in the fourth with
Arturo Figueroa and
Dylan Rees each hitting an RBI single. The Rams added three in the sixth on an RBI base hit by
Alex Gonzalez and a two-run homer by
Vince Barone, the first of his career. GBC tacked on an extra run in the bottom of the sixth with an RBI double.
