KUTZTOWN, Pa. - The Thomas Jefferson University men's basketball team (2-1) scored seven of the last eight points, including the go-ahead jumper by
Erik Timko with 1:10 remaining, to pick up a big road win at Kutztown, 77-76, on Wednesday night.

GAMEPLAY
Early in the contest, the Rams had a 3-2 edge before the Bears netted eight of the next 11 to go ahead 10-6. They would not relinquish the lead for the rest of the half. Kutztown led by as many as eight during the period and took a 42-39 cushion into halftime.

In the second, the Bears were up by six (47-41) with 17:09 on the clock. Then, Jefferson rallied back with seven straight points to go in front 48-47. It was the Rams' first lead since it was 3-2 early in the evening. The teams battled back and forth but Jefferson eventually took control by five (63-58) with 8:12 left.

However, Kutztown charged forward, scoring 15 of the next 20 to seize the advantage by five (73-68) with 3:21 to play. It was 75-70 before
Darius Kinnel drilled a three-pointer to get the Rams within two at 2:12. Jefferson got a stop defensively then
Deondre Bourne hit a jumper in the paint to even the score at 75 (1:39).

The Bears drew a foul but made just one of two at the line to take a one-point edge (76-75).
Erik Timko then sank a jump shot to give Jefferson a one-point advantage with 1:10 to go. Kutztown had two shots in the final minute but both were off the mark and the Rams came out with the victory.
