PHILADELPHIA - The Thomas Jefferson University volleyball team (16-3, 7-3 CACC) needed five sets but dispatched visiting Bloomfield, 3-2, in conference action on Sunday.

GAMEPLAY
In the first set, the Bears held a 19-15 advantage but the Rams rallied for five straight points to take the lead. The score was tied at 21 when Jefferson scored four unanswered to take the set 25-21.

The Rams had a 13-11 lead in the second frame. They increased the margin with an 8-2 run to make it 21-13. Jefferson went on to win the set 25-16.

The Bears did not go quietly as they began the third stanza with four of the opening five points. The Rams came back and eventually found themselves on top 12-11. However, Bloomfield strung together six points to take control on the way to a 25-18 win.

In the fourth, the Bears trailed 15-12 but rallied for 10 of the next 11 to go ahead 22-16. A 25-18 triumph forced a decisive fifth set.

Finally, Jefferson recovered and dominated the final stanza, recording a .500 hitting percentage. The Rams tallied the first three points and went on to win 15-6.
