PHILADELPHIA – The Philadelphia University women's tennis team's 2014-15 season came to a close with a 9-0 loss to host Chestnut Hill in a non-conference match Thursday afternoon.
The Rams end the year with a 15-8 record, the most wins since going 17-7 in the 2008-09 campaign.
Emily Chung (Manhattan Beach, Calif./Mira Costa) led the team in singles victories with 17, while Jala Hamada (Giza, Egypt/Dar El-Tarbia, IGCSE)—who fell Iman Williams-Mulesa 6-3, 4-6, 1-0 (10-7) in the closest match of the day—ends up with 16 wins. Julia Arruda (Valinhos, Brazil/Anglo Coc Valinhos) finshed the year with 13 singles victories.
