PHILADELPHIA – The Philadelphia University women's tennis team dropped a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) to host Chestnut Hill, 7-1, Tuesday afternoon.
Philadelphia is now 5-2 overall, 2-2 against the CACC. Chestnut Hill goes to 4-0 overall, 3-0 in conference play.
Emily Chung (Manhattan Beach, Calif./Mira Costa) recorded the lone Philadelphia point with a 6-3, 7-5 victory over Axe Owens in the No. 4 singles match. Chung improved her singles record to 4-1, 3-0 at No. 4.
Philadelphia returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 10 with a pair of matches at the Legacy Youth Tennis Education Center. The Rams face Caldwell in a CACC clash at noon and then face Temple at 3 p.m.
