Box Score PHILADELPHIA – Senior midfielder Victor Chagonda (Harare, Zimbabwe/St. George's) scored the match-tying goal in the 84th minute of the Philadelphia University men's soccer team's 1-1 draw against Holy Family in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) battle at the RAMP Playground on Thursday night.
Trailing 1-0 with 6:07 left, Chagonda recorded his first goal of the season with a 20-yard shot that deflected off of a Holy Family (1-1-3, 0-1-2 CACC) defender.
The Rams (2-3-1, 1-2-1 CACC) controlled the play in the first overtime session, taking five shot attempts. The Tigers' Richard Ongaro stopped the only one that was on target.
Holy Family attempted the only shot in the second overtime.
The Tigers took a 1-0 lead with a 77th-minute by Kevin McCollick after receiving a pass from Justin Hiltwine.
Ongaro finished with seven saves, while the Rams' Thomas Attamante (West Orange, N.J./West Orange) stopped three shots.
Philadelphia outshot Holy Family 19-9.
The Rams return to action on Wednesday, Sept. 24 with a non-conference contest at Mercy at 4 p.m.
