EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – The Philadelphia University men's soccer team scored three unanswered goals on its way to a 3-1 triumph over host East Stroudsburg Tuesday evening in Elier-Martin Stadium.

With the victory, the Rams are now 2-1-0 overall. The Warriors' overall record goes to 0-2-1.

East Stroudsburg jumped out to an early 1-0 lead on a Nemanja Nikolic tally in the 14th minute. Dominick Morizio and Austin Bogart both earned assists on the match's opening goal.

Philadelphia responded in the 25th minute when sophomore defender Angelo Dambalas (Marlton, N.J./Cherokee)—the hero in Saturday's win over Wheeling Jesuit—got his head on a corner kick taken by freshman midfielder Armando Canela (Marlborough, Mass./Marlborough) for the equalizer.

The match remained deadlocked until the Rams scored a pair of goals, separated by just 54 seconds, midway through the second half. At the 63:24 mark, Canela buried a free kick to give Philadelphia a 2-1 lead. Sophomore midfielder Cesar Romero (Mamaroneck, N.Y./Mamaroneck) tacked on an insurance goal at 64:20 with an assist from sophomore forward Jordan Lynch (Brampton, Ontario/St. Marguerite d'Youville)

Junior goalkeeper Thomas Attamante (West Orange, N.J./West Orange) turned aside two shots to earn his second win of the year. The Warriors' Callum Hampson made two saves in a losing effort.

Philadelphia controlled the match as it outshot East Stroudsburg 24-9 and owned a 9-3 corner kick advantage.

The Rams head to Orangeburg, N.Y. to open Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference play against defending conference champion Dominican (N.Y.) on Saturday, Sept. 14 at 2:30 p.m.
