Box Score WEST CHESTER, Pa. – A pair of second-half goals helped the Philadelphia University men's soccer team snap its three-match losing streak with a 2-0 win at West Chester in a non-conference match Thursday evening.
Midfielder Adam Miller broke the scoreless deadlock with his first goal of the season in the 65th minute. Forward Victor Chagonda assisted on the eventual game-winner.
Chagonda would get his name in the goal column as he tallied an insurance goal which came in the 70th minute. The goal is Chagonda's third of 2012 and was unassisted.
The Rams' (5-3-4) defense was solid as it allowed only nine shot attempts by West Chester (3-5-2). Neil Kwiatkowski preserved the clean sheet by making three saves.
Kevin Marron stopped three shots in the Golden Rams' net.
Philadelphia attempted 11 shots and owned a 5-3 corner kick advantage.
The Rams return to Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference play with a match at Caldwell on Saturday, Oct. 6 at 11 a.m.
