Philadelphia, PA- Six kills each from freshman
outside-hitter Leanna
Lillge and junior middle-hitter Julie
Niblock were not enough to lift the Philadelphia
University volleyball team (7-4, 5-1 CACC) who fell 3-0 to the Holy
Family University Tigers (6-8, 6-2 CACC) on Thursday evening at
HFU's Campus Center. The loss was the first in the Central
Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) for PhilaU.
Set scores were: 25-23, 25-19 and 26-24.
Lillge added eight digs and two service aces to her performance,
while rookie outside-hitter Francesca
Edmondson tallied five kills for the Rams.
PhilaU senior setter Lauren
Hoover turned in 11 sets, while junior Adrienne
Stigura tallied 13 for the visitors. HFU was led
by Jill Keeve-who's 16 kills were a game-high.
The PhilaU women return to Henry Ave. for the first
time in over two weeks on Saturday (10/2) when they host Bloomfield
College at 12:00 p.m. in their homecoming match.
