PA- In a CACC Championship rematch, Philadelphia
University volleyball (13-6, 11-2 CACC) wasted no time Monday night
winning three straight sets to shutout Georgian Court (7-15, 7-5
CACC) 3-0. This happened exactly five years to the date of the last
time the Rams defeated the Lions 3-0 (10/18/05) at home.
Set scores were 25-11, 25-20 and
25-14.
The Rams were led by rookie
outside-hitter Leanna
Lillge, who came up with nine kills along with six
digs and two service aces. Further aiding the team was sophomore
middle-hitter Ellie
Edgar with nine kills of her own.
Junior setter Adrienne
Stigura led the Rams in sets with 12 on top of the 11
added by senior setter Lauren
Hoover.
The Lions were led by Stephanie
Rivera with 10 kills and five digs.
PhilaU volleyball continues
their CACC action on the road when they face Chestnut Hill College
on Wednesday (10/18) beginning at 7 p.m.
