(Philadelphia, PA/ Solebury Prep) and guard Marcus
Lemon (Alexandria, VA/ T.C. Williams) scored game-highs of
18 points apiece to lead the PhilaU Rams (6-4, 2-1 CACC) over the
Wilmington University Wildcats (2-6, 1-1 CACC) on Thursday night.
The Rams outshot the 'Cats at the free-throw line 70%-39%
while being outshot 43%-36% from the field.
WU's Blake Rubenstein and Mike Myers both had nine points each.
PhilaU opened the contest with a quick jumper from Ingram, who
added 10 boards to go along with his 18 points on the night.
The Rams would never trail, extending their lead by 12 at 28-16 in
the first half on a layup by senior forward Mike
Yocum (Dresher, PA/ Episcopal Academy). Yocum had 10
points and nine boards on the night, to go along with two steals.
PhilaU's Lemon gave the Rams their biggest lead of the night at
37-16 early in the second half. The 'Cats would get
within 12 points twice in the final stanza, but could not break the
Rams double-digit lead.
The maroon and gray take a 10 day respite before returning to
action on Sunday (12/20) vs. the College of St. Rose at 4:00
p.m.
