Volleyball Finishes Season in 3-1 Loss at CACC Championship

Lakewood, NJ- The Philadelphia University Lady Rams (32-6, 17-2 CACC) saw their 2009 season come to an end in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championship match on Saturday afternoon.  Georgian Court University (27-9, 19-0 CACC) picked up a 3-1 win for their fourth straight conference volleyball title.

The 32 wins the Lady Rams picked up this season was the most-ever under Head Coach Mark Magarity's tenure.

Set scores were: 15-25, 20-25, 25-17 and 13-25.

The Lady Rams hit .125% to GCU's .177%.

PhilaU was led by senior outside hitter and CACC 'Player of the Year' Celena Rendon (San Antonio, TX/ Tom C. Clark) with seven kills and 14 digs. 

Two PhilaU seniors picked up CACC All-Tournament Team honors, middle-hitter Molly Malone (Rochester, NY/ Gates Chili) and defensive specialist Cindy Adams (Fleetwood, PA/ Fleetwood).
