Philadelphia, PA- The Philadelphia University
men's soccer team (8-3, 5-2 CACC) gave up an early goal that was
the difference-maker in a 1-0 loss at Chestnut Hill College (2-7-1,
1-5-1 CACC) on Tuesday night.
The Griffins scored just 13 seconds into the first half as Ryan
Lannutti scored on a pass from Maurice Blanton, the eventual
game-winner.
PhilaU held the edge in shots (18-12) and corner kicks (8-1).
Ram goalie Buddy Custer (Cinnaminson, NJ/
Cinnaminson) had four saves, while CHC keeper Mike Goldstein made
10 stops for the Griffs.
PhilaU heads to Caldwell on Saturday (10/10) for a 2:00 p.m.
