Chester, DE- Junior Nicole Berkstresser
(Bridgewater, NJ/ Bridgewater-Raritan) led the Lady Rams (9-8, 5-2
CACC) to a 3-0 shutout of CACC foe Wilmington University (11-11,
4-4 CACC)on the road on Thursday evening. The win was a big
one in what Coach Mark Magarity called the
"most intense game of the season," as the Lady Rams inched ahead in
the CACC standings to fourth place in the South Division.
Set scores were 26-24, 25-23 and 25-15.
Berkstresser had 16 kills in the victory, and junior
Celena Rendon (San Antonio, TX/ Tom C. Clark) had
11 kills and 19 digs.
Junior Natalie Amodei (West Chester, PA/ Bishop
Shanahan) had 18 digs for the Lady Rams and sophomore setter
Lauren Hoover (New Baltimore, MI/ Anchor Bay) had
20 assists for the maroon and grey.
The Lady Rams travel to Felician College for a tri-match on
Saturday, October 11th, taking on Felician at 1:00 p.m. and
Southern Connecticut State University at 3:00 p.m.
