Philadelphia, PA- Philadelphia University men's
soccer (8-6-3, 4-3-1 CACC) got a score from junior Svetozar
Gladic (Novi Sad, Serbia) in the second period, but the
Rams could not generate any more goals in a 4-1 CACC loss to Holy
Family (6-12, 2-7 CACC) on Saturday afternoon.
HFU took an early 1-0 lead with a goal just seven minutes into
regulation, and held the lead until Gladic tied it at 48:46-
assisted by senior Rocco Avallone (Champaign, IL/
Centennial).
The Tigers went on a 3-0 run in the second half to surge ahead
4-1 and held the Rams to just six goals in the final half
(outscoring PhilaU 20-13 for the day).
Senior goalie Charles Custer (Cinnaminson, NJ/
Cinnaminson) had seven saves, while HFU keeper Chuck Bernard had 13
stops.
The Rams return to action on Tuesday, October 28th on
the road vs. Goldey-Beacom at 3:30 p.m.
