Box Score

Senior forward Jason Hickenbottom (pictured right) poured in a game-high 19 points and collected 12 rebounds, helping the Philadelphia University men's basketball team to a 52-47 win at Holy Family University on Monday, December 3rd.  After dropping their first five games to open the season, the Rams have now won three straight, improving to 3-5 overall and 2-0 in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC).

Head Coach Herb Magee's team trailed just once in the contest at 4-2 before putting together an 11-4 run to take a 13-6 advantage, capped by a Hickenbottom jumper with 11:48 remaining in the opening half.  The lead swelled to 12 points at 26-14 with the Rams settling for a 33-22 lead after 20 minutes of action.  In the second half, Philadelphia University maintained a comfortable margin for the most part until the host Tigers went on a 10-1 run to close the gap to 49-46 with 37 seconds left in regulation.  However, junior guard Mike Dunn found sophomore swingman Marcus Lemon for a layup with 24 seconds left that sealed the victory for the Rams.
