Corey Goff begins his tenure as the Assistant Vice President for Athletics for Jefferson. He begins his new role in August 2024.
Goff comes into the role after being the Director of Athletics at Know College, where he oversaw the 16 athletic teams for the Prairie Fire. Before that, Goff was the Director of Athletics and Physical Education at Ransom Everglades School in Florida for five years. He managed over 70 interscholastic teams in 27 sports. He was also in charge of the recruitment and development of over 100 coaches and physical education teachers.
Goff returns to Pennsylvania as he was the Director of Athletics at Muhlenberg College. He provided oversight and inspiration for a department comprised of 22 NCAA teams and a full complement of intramural, club, and recreation programs. Goff successfully fostered the development of a staff consisting of 30 full-time, 50 part-time employees, a team of volunteers, and three NCAA Ethnic Minority & Women's Internship grant recipients. His work with strategic funding initiatives resulted in a 200% growth in annual giving and a 60% increase in gift participation over four years.
A native of Pennsylvania, Goff earned a Master of Science degree in educational psychology from the University at Albany. He also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and secondary education from Susquehanna University. In his athletic career, Goff was a member of the varsity football and baseball teams, playing in NCAA playoffs in both sports, and serving twice as baseball team captain.
Goff also brings coaching experience to the position with multiple collegiate sports teams under his belt. He served as head baseball coach for Muhlenberg College where he developed 2 NCAA All-Region athletes, 8 All-Centennial Conference athletes, and a Conference Player of the Year. Prior to baseball, Goff served as Muhlenberg College assistant football coach, where he helped develop four NCAA All-Americans, 35 All-Centennial Conference Players, and two Conference Offensive Players of the Year.
