Cross Country Takes Home Weekly Awards

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Thomas Jefferson University men's and women's cross country had their new runners test the waters last week at the Philadelphia Cross Classic. What was received was not only top performances, but conference recognition as fellow freshmen Olivia Grahn and Dylan Boyle both took home Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) weekly awards for competition that ran through September 1-7. Both Grahn and Boyle took home CACC Rookie of the Week honors, but Olivia earned another honor as the conference Runner of the Week as well.

OLIVIA GRAHN – CACC RUNNER AND ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Both awards are the first and second of Grahn's career, with the team earning those honors for the first time as well. Grahn ran her first collegiate race on Saturday at the Philadelphia Cross Classic, where she placed first in the event with a 20:13.39 time, earning a 6:31 pace and was 10 seconds ahead of second place.

DYLAN BOYLE – CACC ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Boyle receives his first weekly award in his career. The team has a player recognized for the first time this season. Boyle ran his first collegiate race on Saturday at the Philadelphia Cross Classic, where he placed second in the event with a 27:39.14 time, earning a 5:34 pace and was 23.02 seconds ahead of third place.
