#11 Women's Soccer Concludes Neutral Games with Victory over Saint Anslem
WILMINGTON, DE. – The #11 nationally-ranked Thomas Jefferson University women's soccer team (3-1) ended their neutral games at Wilmington on Sunday, where the Rams went to blank Saint Anslem College (1-1-1) 2-0 in non-conference action.
WHAT HAPPENED
- First half did not see any scores, with the Hawks outshooting Jefferson 7-4 in the opening 45 minutes.
- Nikki Dedes broke the scoreless game just 4:28 minutes into the second half as she received a corner pass from Mia Ferrara to get the Rams up 1-0
- Saint Anselm went to make a comeback, attempting nine shots in the second half with seven of them coming in the final 17 minutes
- Jefferson put the game on ice as Kyra Lesko took the ball from the left side, passed the defense, and hit her shot in the back of the net at the 85th minute to finish the game with a 2-0 victory
- Kali Reddy recorded her first career win and shutout as she had four saves on the day
