Late Efforts Not Enough For Women's Lacrosse
BLOOMSBURG, PA – After being down 9-4 heading into the break, the Thomas Jefferson University women's lacrosse team (1-2) outscored Bloomsburg University (2-0) 9-6 in the second half but were unable to have the game go in their favor as the Rams dropped a 15-13 non-conference contest to the Huskies Wednesday afternoon.
WHAT HAPPENED

The Huskies dominated the second, going 5-1 in the 15 minutes of play before the break. Reagan Rogers made her goal with 8:30 to go before the half, but Bloomsburg added another three to get a 9-4 lead

After the break, Jefferson began to climb back in the game. After a Bloomsburg goal, Jefferson scored the next three as Rogers made one while Emma Baker went back-to-back in the net. Rogers and Gluck added another goal in the third while Avanzato hit her shot before the end of the third, making Jefferson trail by three heading into the fourth

Avanzato led the charge with two goals to begin the final quarter, with the Rams down 13-12. Bloomsburg put up another goal, but Rogers nailed her shot to keep it a one score game. The Huskes eventually added one more goal and held on with a 15-13 victory
