Four Rams Take Home CACC Weekly Awards
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Thomas Jefferson University garnered five more awards as the Rams saw four athletes take home Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) weekly awards for competition that ran through September 29 – October 5.
Olivia Grahn and
Dylan Boyle added three more awards for cross country,
Anouk Oderkerk put her stamp on the Rookie of the Week honors, and
Carly Yeager secured the third award for women's soccer.
OLIVIA GRAHN – RUNNER AND ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Grahn picks up where she left off, earning her fourth week that she was honored with Runner and Rookie of the Week (only time she did not receive the award was when the Rams had no races to run last week). Grahn was the highest finishing runner from the CACC and the Rams as well, placing sixth with a 22:37.5 time.
DYLAN BOYLE – ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Boyle also joins Grahn as he takes his sixth weekly award, with this being his fourth Rookie of the Week honors (also did not receive the award when the Rams had no races last week). Boyle was the highest finishing East Region runner and Ram on the day, placing fifth in an event of over 300 runners.
ANOUK ODERKERK – ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Oderkerk earns her fifth weekly award this year, taking home Rookie of the Week every single time it has been given from the conference. Oderkerk won her matches in straight sets and earned the Rams two more wins in the conference. She went 4-0 in every match she competed in.
CARLY YEAGER – DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Yeager netted her second weekly this year, sixth in her career, and third for the team this season. Yeager helped anchor a defense that didn't allow a goal in both contests this week as that helped the Rams be 1-0-1 against their opponents. She started with a full 90 minute outing against Wilmington. Yeager followed it up with another shutout in 78 minutes of action with Jefferson winning 4-0 over the Purple Knights.
