Women's Tennis Falls Short in CACC Championship
WILMINGTON, Del. - Thomas Jefferson University women's tennis (13-1) looked to win their first Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) title since 2008-09 as they took on Wilmington University of Delaware (10-2) in the CACC Championship Finals. Leading after the doubles match, the Rams were unable to hold the Wildcats down as they secured four of the next five points. Jefferson ultimately fell 4-2 in the title match.
WHAT HAPPENED
- Jefferson took the early lead as they won the first and second position spots, winning 6-4 and 6-0 respectively
- Heading into the singles matches, the Wildcats started to get momentum as they took the next three points to be up 3-1
- The Rams went to win the fifth but ultimately not hold down the Wildcats who went to win their fifth CACC title

After the tournament concluded, Anouk Oderkerk and Marta Vázquez were named to the CACC All-Tournament Team for their performances. Emily Frost was awarded the Top XVI award as she was player who held the highest GPA heading into the Tournament.
