Women's Soccer Opens Season With Shutout Over New Haven
LAKEWOOD, N.J. - Thomas Jefferson University women's soccer (1-0) began their season looking to return to the NCAA Tournament for a fifth straight season. The Rams started their journey at Investors Bank Field, where Jefferson put together an offensive attack that led them to a 3-0 victory over the University of New Haven (0-1) in non-conference action.
WHAT HAPPENED
- The Rams went on the offensive in the first half, outshooting the Chargers 9-3
- New Haven and Jefferson each recorded three saves in the first half, keeping the matchup scoreless after 45 minutes
- The Rams got on the board at the 55th minute mark off a Mia Ferrara goal
- Dillan Sorino followed suit three minutes later to put Jefferson's lead at 2-0
