Men's Soccer Goes to a Draw Against West Chester
WEST CHESTER, PA – Being down 1-0 to start the second half, Diego Guzman scores at the 58th minute mark, helping the Thomas Jefferson University men's soccer team (0-0-1) go to a draw against West Chester University (0-0-1) in Thursday afternoon action.
WHAT HAPPENED
- Both teams get physical with one another, leading to seven yellow cards throughout the game with six appearing in the second half
- The Golden Ram's defense held Jefferson to only one first half shot
- West Chester gets on the board near the end of the first half at the 44th mark off of a Maksym Komperda goal
- The Rams begin to get their offense moving, taking five shots in the second half
- Guzman scores at 57:56 off a TJ Hibsman assist, eveing the game at 1-1
- Jefferson's defense held strong through the rest of the half, not allowing any of the 11 shots by the Golden Rams to make it to the back of their net
- John Nelson made four saves on the day, all coming from the second half

Jason Rocha had his first collegiate game coaching this evening, having his team tie with a Golden Rams squad that is receiving votes in the United Soccer Coaches poll.
