Men's Soccer Suffers First Defeat to Bridgeport 

PHILADELPHIA – Thomas Jefferson University men's soccer (6-1-1, 2-1-0) competed on Homecoming weekend where the Rams took their first loss of the season as they dropped their Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match 2-0 to the University of Bridgeport (4-2-2, 3-1-0) in Saturday afternoon action. 

WHAT HAPPENED 

• The Purple Knights scored early in the game at the 8:26 mark as the initial save by John Nelson was rebounded and shot in by Enzo Beatrix 

• The rest of the first half was dominated by defense, seeing neither squad attempt more than three shots 

• Bridgeport got on the board again as Joao Miranda delivered a pass to Beatirx, who earned his second goal of the day and extended the Purple Knights lead 

• The Rams made efforts to get back in the match, attempting seven shots compared to Bridgeport's two 

• Jefferson was unable to make their attempts in the next, taking their first loss on the season
