Men's Tennis Secures Third Straight CACC Title, Advances to CACC/ECC Finals
PHILADELPHIA, PA – Thomas Jefferson University tennis team (17-4) competed to win their third straight Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championship title as they faced third seed and home court team Chestnut Hill College (10-9-1) in Tuesday afternoon action. The Rams ended up winning the doubles point and earned three wins in singles to take the 4-1 win.
WHAT HAPPENED
Jefferson took the second position win while Chestnut Hill earned the first position victory. The third set came close, but ultimately went in favor of the Rams for the first point.
Jefferson won in the fifth spot for Antonio Mateos Melenchon for a 2-0 lead. Chestnut Hill won in the sixth position and looked to possibly take the fifth spot while coming back in the fourth. The Rams pushed ahead in the first and second spots as Mario Antonio and Hannibal Borg earned victories to secure the CACC Championship for the third straight year.

Jefferson will now head to the first CACC/ECC Final as the Rams head up to take on Queens College on Saturday, May 4. This will be a rematch of a March 30 match where the Rams' edged out the Knights 4-3.
