Women's Lacrosse Scores 20+ Goals in CACC Opening Win Against Felician
PHILADELPHIA – The Thomas Jefferson University women's lacrosse team (1-3, 1-0)) opened Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action on Saturday when they played Felician University (1-5, 0-1). The Rams began the game with 11 goals in the first quarter, giving them the momentum to roll over the Golden Falcons 23-2 in Saturday afternoon action.
WHAT HAPPENED
The Rams got out to a great advantage, scoring 11 first quarter goals. Iris Gluck, Lynn Hardy, Erin Avanzato, Carina Raymond, Gabby Modzelewski, Audrey Strock, and Ellie Lefton all put their shots in the goal for Jefferson, giving them the 11-0 advantage to begin the game.
Lefton added another goal in the second quarter while Reagan Rogers, Emma Baker, Taylor Hood, and Meaghan Avanzato all had their first of the game, putting Jefferson up 15-0 at break.
The Rams added five more in the third quarter with Gluck and M. Avanzato getting on the board once more. Lindley Gori and Emily Ryder joined their teammates, having Jefferson at an 21-0 lead. Felician was able to get two goals in the fourth quarter, but Baker and Rogers equaled the Golden Falcon's attack to finish the game with a 23-2 win.
