Women's Soccer Defeats Holy Family University 2-0  

PHILADELPHIA, PA - Thomas Jefferson University women's soccer (14-1-2) (11-0) competed against Holy Family University in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action on Friday, November 8. The Rams earned their 11th conference victory over the Tigers.  

WHAT HAPPENED 

• The Tigers start off strong with a shot from Maddie Maguire that misses off the right post  

• The Rams quickly find success with a low right goal from Kiery Spatz, assisted by Kyra Lesko giving Jefferson an early lead  

• Both Carly Fox and Bridget Dickson take shots looking to even the score but miss  

• Jaina Preuhs gets her first save of the game after Nikki Dedes takes a low center shot on goal  

• Continuing with their momentum the Rams make the score 2-0 with a goal from Veronica Lutz, assisted by both Dillan Sorino and Laken Merchant  

• The Tigers aim to retaliate with a shot on goal from Rylee Kaufmann but Liv Riddel is prepared for the same  

• Riddel claims her second save after Rebecca Casper takes a shot on goal to conclude the first half leaving the Rams in the lead  

• The Rams continue to play aggressively with Mia Ferrara taking a shot early in the second half that Holy Family can defend  

• Avery Nogami also looking to get in on the action takes a low center shot that Preuhs saves for the Tigers  

• Still down 2-0 nearing the middle of the second half, the Tigers look to score with a shot by Kyleigh Murphy that Riddel is ready to save  

• Izzy Mignon and Dickson both take shots on goal, but again Riddel defends the Rams goal  

• Maguire in one last attempt takes a shot for the Tigers that is missed right, leaving the Rams in the lead claiming the 2-0 victory
• Jefferson ends the regular season perfect in conference play, going 11-0 in CACC competition. They are the first team since Georgian Court in 2017 to go unbeaten and untied in conference play. The Rams are 20-0-1 for the past two seasons
