Women's Soccer Team Advances With Overtime Win Over Bentley In The First Round Of The NCAA Tournament
GARDEN CITY, NY - Thomas Jefferson University women's soccer (18-1-2) made history in a thrilling double-overtime finish, Mia Ferrara's corner goal secured their first-ever NCAA Tournament victory and extended their season win record to 19 games. Bentley fell short 2-1 and the Rams now advance to the second round where they will face Adelphi University.
WHAT HAPPENED

The second overtime round begins and within the two minutes Ferrara goes for the corner kick and sends the ball right into the Falcons net, bringing the score to 2-1. Jefferson claims the double overtime victory over Bentley, as well as the first postseason NCAA Tournament win in school history

Women's soccer first NCAA Tournament win was collected against Bentley University on November 22 in Garden City, New York. The Rams appeared in the second round once before on penalty kicks, making their most recent win over the Falcons their first postseason victory.
