Women's Soccer Takes the Semifinal Match Over Georgian Court University  

PHILADELPHIA, PA - Thomas Jefferson University women's soccer (15-1-2)  competed against Georgian Court University (12-6-2) in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) playoff action on Thursday, November 14. Jefferson defeats Georgian Court advancing them to the CACC Tournament Finals.



WHAT HAPPENED 

• Avery Nogami starts it off for the Rams taking a shot within the first 20 seconds that is missed right  

• Chelsea Lavezzo takes two shots for the Lions but does not find success against the Rams defense  

• Nikki Dedes scores the first goal at the 9:57 minute, assisted by Kyra Lesko and Kiery Spatz  

• The Lions struggle to score with a shot from Breana Parkinson that Liv Riddel is ready to save  

• At the 38:11 minute Abby Cargile earns the Rams their second goal after a low right shot assisted by Evelin Garcia-Ventura, leaving the Rams ahead 2-0 heading into the second half  

• Lesko takes a shot early in the half, Emma Bennett getting the save  

• Mia Ferrara also looking to score takes a shot in the 55:21 minute but missed High left  

• Dedes with her second goal of the match setting the Rams ahead 3-0 

• The Lions struggle to find offensive success after a shot from Ava Reardon takes a high shot in the center of the goal where Riddel is ready to save  

• Lavezzo remains aggressive taking two shots on goal, but Riddel again gets the saves  

• Jamie Webb takes a final shot for the Rams and Bennet holds the backline for the Lions, leaving the Rams with their 3-0 lead to earn the Semifinal match

CACC CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS
The Rams have made it to the CACC Finals for the first time since 2021 where they won the title for the third consecutive time.  This appearance the Rams are looking to have their seventh conference title brought back to Jefferson.

The Rams continue in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) playoff action. Jefferson will face Caldwell University in the Championship game that will take place on Sunday, November 17th in Wilmington, Delaware at 1 p.m.
