#8 Men's Soccer Goes to Overtime; Drops Heartbreaker to #1 Post
WATERBURY, Conn. - The #8 Thomas Jefferson University men's soccer team (9-7-3) competed in the CACC Tournament on Sunday afternoon in a rematch of last year's semifinal matchup against the #1 seed Post University (11-4-3). The Rams came to play against the Eagles, only allowing 9 shots through the 90 minutes of competition that were held in check, forcing overtime. Around the 6 minute mark of the first overtime, Markus Tunge free kick made it to the back of the net for Post to give them the 1-0 win, ending Jefferson's season.

The Eagles had a free kick that sailed to the top part of the goal, but John Nelson made a high jump save, one of his three on the day, that kept Jefferson in the match with the game tied at 0-0

In overtime, the game started slow. Within the 94th minute after a Ram foul, Post attempted another free kick. This time, it made it to the left side of the net, propelling the Eagles to a 1-0 CACC Quarterfinals win over Jefferson
