PHILADELPHIA, PA – Thomas Jefferson University men's team ended their time at the Saint Joseph's University Invitational this past weekend. The Rams had three players competing in singles and four teams in the doubles tournament.
 
WHAT HAPPENED

• Mario Antonio, Jules Thibault, and Anthony Moukarzel competed in the singles portion of the tournament. Facing schools in different divisions (Division I and Community Colleges), Antonio and Thibault made the quarterfinals while Moukarzel reached the semifinals.
• Each of them took a Division I player to three sets in their last matches on the day: Antonio lost to Hussein El Tawll of Drexel University; Thibault and Moukarzel lost to Will Burridge of Drexel
• In doubles, Antonio Mateos Melenchon/Thibault, Enrique Soto Ballester/Moukarzel, Antonio/Johary Rabetrano, and Filip Slavkovic/Joseph Villetorte all competed in the doubles matches for Jefferson
• Each team had an opening win in the first round. Melenchon/Thibault and Ballester/Moukarzel reached the semifinals in doubles for the Rams.
• The former fell to Agbo and Valle of Saint Joseph's 6-4 while the latter dropped their contest to the eventual double winners Kresina and Marujo of Temple University 6-2. Antonio and Rabetraon also fell to the Owls double team as well 6-2. Slavkovic and Villetorte dropped their match to Argenal and Linga of New Jersey Institute of Technology 6-4.
