Women's Soccer Claims Another Conference Victory Against Wilmington University 

WILMINGTON, DE - Thomas Jefferson University women's soccer (10-1-1) (7-0) competed against Wilmington University in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action on Thursday, October 17. The Rams finished on top with a 2-1 victory.  
 

WHAT HAPPENED 
 

• Carly Yeager sets the tone for the match with her strong defense at the back line  

• Dillan Sorino passes to Nikki Dedes where she takes a right footed kick that was missed high  

• The Wildcats continue to fight buy Jeena Pressly does an amazing job of shielding Wilmington's offense 

• After a far post corner kick from Mia Ferrara, Kiery Spatz heads the ball into the air so that Avery Nogami can claim the Rams first goal of the match at the 35:16 minute  

• Within 10 minutes Evelin Ventura-Garcia passes down the field back to Nogami where she scores the second goal of the match for the Rams, making that her 4th goal of the season 

• The first half ends with the Rams leading 2-0 over the Wildcats  

• Liv Riddel starts off the second half with a save off a header shot from Brianna Wons trying to keep the Wildcats involved early  

• The Wildcats continue to push and at the 82:03 minute they claim their first goal scored by Alyssa Ruggeri, her 6th of the season  

• The match ends with the Rams on top claiming the 2-1 victory over Wilmington
