PHILADELPHIA – Thomas Jefferson University men's soccer team (2-5-0, 1-2-0) looked to have their second win in a row, but a goal in the second half dropped them to Post University (3-1-2, 2-0-0) In Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action this Friday afternoon.
 
WHAT HAPPENED
It was a defensive battle from the start, with both teams fighting to keep their opponents away from the nets. The Eagles had five shots in the first half while the Rams only produced two. The second half saw similar action, but Post outshooting Jefferson 8-4.
 
The Eagles had multiple opportunities to take the lead with a shot that hit the post and one that was blocked, but ultimately capitalized as the third chance hit the mark in the bottom left of the net at the 57^th minute that helped Post take the 1-0 lead. Jefferson was close near the end of the match to tie it up, but the Eagles held onto the victory.
