ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y. – The Thomas Jefferson University softball team (5-7) fell twice to Molloy (9-7) in a non-conference doubleheader on Sunday.
GAME ONE – L, 6-4
Both teams scored on a sacrifice fly in the opening inning. The Lions took the lead with a solo home run in the second. Molloy upped the advantage to two (3-1) with another solo blast in the fourth.
The Rams rallied for three runs in the fifth to go ahead 4-3.
Julia Heine doubled in two and
Tori Lipka plated Heine with a base hit to right. However, the Lions responded in the bottom of the inning and evened the score with an RBI single. Molloy then went in front in the sixth, scoring two runs on a single to right center. Jefferson went down in order in the seventh.

GAME TWO – L, 5-1
The Lions opened the scoring with a two-out RBI double in the second. Molloy increased the difference to four with a three-run fourth. The Lions plated their final run on a single in the sixth. The Rams had opportunities offensively but left seven runners on base through the first six frames. Jefferson tallied its lone run on a fielder's choice in the seventh.
