PHILADELPHIA - The Thomas Jefferson University women's basketball team (16-5, 8-3 CACC) increased its win streak to five games with a 70-63 triumph over Post on Saturday.

GAMEPLAY
The Rams opened the game with four straight points for the early lead. Trailing 10-6, the Eagles tallied five in a row to go ahead 11-10. Jefferson was behind 13-12 before ending the period with four consecutive points to take a 16-13 advantage into the second quarter.

The Rams carried the momentum into the second, posting the first five points of the frame to make the score 21-13.
Emily Keehfuss hit a three-pointer at the 7:29 mark to increase the Jefferson cushion to nine (27-18). The Eagles gradually cut into the deficit and eventually got within three (33-30) with 2:32 left. The Rams responded, however, with a 6-0 stretch to restore a nine-point margin (39-30). Post made a jumper just before the end of the half to make it 39-32.

The Eagles threatened again in the third quarter, closing the gap to three (39-36). Once more, Jefferson answered, this time with five points to up the lead to eight (44-36). Holding a seven-point advantage, Keehfuss drilled another three to give the Rams a double-digit cushion (58-48) heading to the final period.

Jefferson netted a layup to begin the fourth for its largest lead of the contest (60-48). It was an 11-point difference (62-51) with 6:51 to play when Post strung together five points to get within six (62-56) with 4:30 on the clock. It remained a six-point game (64-58) when the Rams made back-to-back layups for a 68-58 advantage with 1:49 remaining. The Eagles could only get within seven down the stretch.
