NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Thomas Jefferson University had five teams capture a 2021-22 CACC Team Academic Award, the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference announced on Wednesday. The Rams' five honors were the most of any school in the league.
The award recognizes the squad with the highest team grade point average in each of the league's 16 championship sports that were conducted during the 2021-22 campaign.
Jefferson claimed the award in men's basketball, women's lacrosse, women's cross country, men's track & field, and women's tennis. The women's cross country team was one of three squads in the conference to win both the conference championship and the Team Academic Award for 2021-22.
