RUTHERFORD, N.J. – The Thomas Jefferson University women's soccer team (8-3-1, 6-0-1 CACC) recorded all the offense it needed in the first half and shut down Felician (2-9-2, 1-6 CACC) in the second half for a 2-1 win at the Golden Falcons on Saturday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Rams needed just over two minutes to get on the board as
Laural Erick set up
Devin Sullivan for her third goal of the year. Jefferson continued to dominate play for the first 25 minutes, outshooting Felician 4-0 with three of them on goal. However, the Golden Falcons countered and managed to get one through to even the score in the 27
th minute.
Jefferson required just six minutes to respond as
Gianna Garozzo gave the Rams the lead once again with help from
Avery Nogami and
Mia Ferrara. Jefferson locked down defensively the rest of the way, not allowing a shot for the remainder of the contest.
