PHILADELPHIA – The Thomas Jefferson University women's lacrosse team scored the first five goals of the contest and cruised to a 20-2 victory over Chestnut Hill College in a non-conference affair on Tuesday afternoon. The Rams improved to 2-0 with the win.
GAMEPLAY
Erin Campbell got Jefferson started just 56 seconds after the opening draw.
Lexi Patania scored with 26:03 on the clock and Campbell added two more at 25:28 and 23:44.
Julia McLaughlin tallied the fifth goal at the 22:18 mark before the Griffins got on the board at 21:20. The Rams posted six of the last seven goals of the period, with
Erin Avanzato and
Kanha Stockford notching two apiece, for an 11-2 advantage at the break. Jefferson netted all nine goals of the second half with
Audrey Strock recording three and
Erin Eckert registering two. Eckert also two helpers in the frame.
