WATERBURY, Conn. - A dominant first half was all the third-seeded Thomas Jefferson University women's soccer team (11-5-1) needed as the Rams defeated second-seeded Holy Family, 4-1, in the semifinals of the CACC Tournament on Friday.

Jefferson advances to its third straight conference final as it looks to win its third title in a row. The Rams will face fourth-seeded Wilmington (Del.) in the CACC Championship Game scheduled for Sunday, November 14 at 10 a.m. at Post University.

GAMEPLAY
The Rams were all over the Tigers in the opening half, posting a 7-2 advantage in shots and having a 3-0 edge in corner kicks. Jefferson needed just four minutes to get on the board as
Kiery Spatz capitalized on a misplay by the Holy Family defense for a 1-0 lead.
Grace Kenville put the Rams up two in the 11
th minute. She took a free kick near the left sideline from 35 yards out and sent a perfect ball just inside the right post for the goal.

In the 22
nd minute,
Emma Kuciapinski sent a pass ahead that sprung
Devin Sullivan in the box. Sullivan beat the charging goalkeeper to the ball and chipped it in to give a 3-0 cushion to Jefferson.

The Tigers looked to swing the momentum to start the second period, scoring their first tally just four minutes in. However, the Rams conceded just three shots the rest of the contest, all of which were turned away by goalkeeper
Liv Riddel. Jefferson added an insurance goal in the 82
nd minute when
Laural Erick beat a defender to the ball down the right side and blasted a shot into the upper right corner.
