PHILADELPHIA – The Philadelphia University capped off its stretch of four matches in eight days with a 7-2 loss to host Chestnut Hill in a non-conference match Friday.

Philadelphia is now 1-3 overall, while Chestnut Hill improves to 1-1.

Long Vo (Harleysville, Pa./Souderton Area) and Celso de Vera Rehberger (Oviedo, Spain/Santa Maria del Naranco) picked up the Rams' points with singles victories. Vo earned the first point as he defeated Sean Jaeger 6-1, 6-1 in No. 6 singles. In No. 1 singles, de Vera Rehberger knocked off Michael Humes 6-1, 6-2.

Philadelphia returns to action with a non-conference match at St. Thomas Aquinas on Sunday, Oct. 5 at noon.
