KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The Philadelphia University men's tennis team was defeated by host Kutztown, 7-2, in a non-conference match Monday afternoon on the Keystone Courts.

Philadelphia's overall record is now 10-11, while Kutztown improves to 9-6.

Ayman Barakat (Kharkiv, Ukraine/Kharkiv Specialized English School #3) and Chris Casamassima (Franklin Square, N.Y./St. Mary's) earned the Rams' points in singles action.

In the No. 2 match, Barakat outlasted Varun Desai 6-3, 1-6, 1-0 (10-2). Casamassima was a winner in the No. 4 flight, 6-4, 7-6 over Patricio Hernandez.

Philadelphia returns home to take on Cabrini on Tuesday, April 16 at 4 p.m.
