Women's Lacrosse Falls in CACC Championship, 13-9 to Georgian Court

Lakewood, NJ- The #2 seeded Philadelphia University women's lacrosse team (11-7, 10-2 CACC) dropped the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championship game 13-9 to the #1 seed and defending champions Georgian Court University (15-4, 12-0 CACC) on Sunday afternoon. 

The Rams were paced by three goals from junior attacker Taylor Peltzer, while fellow junior midfielder Kalin Hodel tapped in two goals on the day.  GCU was led by Shannon Mastrogiovanni and Molly McCourt who each tallied three scores.

GCU led 7-4 at the half.

The only lead the Rams held was a 1-0 advantage at 29:41 in the first stanza on a Peltzer goal.  PhilaU freshman goalie Cory Lombardo had five saves in goal, while GCU's Jen Molzon made threes tops.

This ends the season for the Rams.
