Philadelphia, PA- The Philadelphia University Rams ( 8-7, 4-4 CACC) dropped a 67-59 road contest at the University of the Sciences (12-4, 8-2 CACC) on Tuesday evening. PhilaU was led by senior forward Kate Brennan, who had a team-high 20 points along with four rebounds.
PhilaU's only other starter in double-digits was sophomore forward Kristen Blye, who dropped 13 points and six boards. USci was led by Caitlin Shaw's game-high 30 points and 12 rebounds.
PhilaU trailed 35-25 at the half.
USci held the advantage in shooting percentage (45%-39%, but PhilaU edged the Devils at the three-point line 42%-36%.
PhilaU's largest lead of the contest came in the first half at 11:39 on a layup by junior guard Stephanie Agger to make it 18-13. Agger contributed six points on the night.
A layup by USci's Erin Chesnavich at 8:45 remaining gave the Devils their largest advantage at 53-35. Chesnavich had 12 points for USci.
PhilaU cut the lead to six at 65-59 with 38 seconds to go but could not close the gap, falling 67-59. Next up for the Rams is a home contest on Thursday (1/27) vs. Dominican College at 6 p.m. at the Gallagher Athletic Center.
