PhilaU Boys Blanked 2-0 at Molloy

Rockville Centre, NY- The Philadelphia University men's soccer team (5-3, 4-1 CACC) was blanked 2-0 on the road by the Molloy College Lions (2-5) on Wednesday evening. 

The Rams were outshot by a slim margin by MC, 14-12.

The squad trailed 1-0 at halftime, as MC's Dan Patino scored on a penalty kick at 15:41 in the first half on a hand ball foul on PhilaU.  The other goal was knocked in at 76:51 by Dan Brown on a kick at the top of the box.

PhilaU freshman keeper Alex Heston tallied three saves in 90 minutes, while MC's Mike Hunter had five stops for the Lions.

The PhilaU boys are back in town on Saturday (10/2) for the 2010 Homecoming match at 2:30 p.m. vs. Post University at Ravenhill Field.  For a complete listing of Homecoming events, click here.
